This page will show you pics of the Motomow being taken down for restoring.I actually tore the tractor down last fall so trust me i'll need these pics to remember how to put it back together.Like I said before it's one of the more simple built tractors so it will not be very hard to restore and it's actually in pretty good shape so sanding and grinding should be pretty easy.Remember as always you can click on the pictures to get a better and larger view.

Engine comes off.Notice there is basically
just 2 pieces of L channel used to make
                                                             the frame.

dscf4101.jpg

Showing steering linkage on the frame.

dscf4102.jpg

Showing steering linkage plus
the pully drive system on the frame.

dscf4103.jpg

A better View of the pully drive
system plus the rearend.

dscf4104.jpg

A better pic of the rearend
notice the gear oil leak i'll
have to put new seals in it.
My buddy that runs a lawn
mower shop says he can get
me new seals for it so thats a relief.
Notice the rare 3 bolt hubs on this
model.

dscf4107.jpg

A better side view of the frame
again notice the simple but strong
design.

dscf4108.jpg

Underside view of the rearend
original skinny tires on the back.

dscf4109.jpg

A close up view of the steering
linkage.Notice they used just plain
flat stock steel for the tie rods.
simple design again but still quite
strong.

dscf4110.jpg

6hp.Briggs being taken down.I
noticed a lot of the oil was on the
side where you put oil in it.I've decided
to run it without rebuilding it and hope
there are no seals leaking. If they do
it's not a big deal taking it back off to
rebuild. It seems to run very nice.

dscf4115.jpg

Another side pic of the engine.

dscf4116.jpg

Opposite side of the engine, again notice
no oil leakage so I think the seals are
fine we will see when it is ran for a while.

dscf4120.jpg

A pic of the back of the frame
showing the rearend removed.

dscf4188.jpg

A close up view of the clutch
pedal.Again a simple but effective
design.Looking at a lot of these pics
you could see that this tractor almost
looks like it was home made but it is not.

dscf4189.jpg

Another front view of the frame.
Just a simple round bar is used for
the foot rest.

dscf4192.jpg

Wanted to show a picture of the
deck.It again is a simple square
design,it's a gear driven deck.
There is one gear that is broken
away from the shaft. It looks like
it is still strong enough to spot
weld back together.I sure hope
so it would be a real job to find
parts for the deck i'm sure.
